Our Story

Southern Lawnscapes was built from the ground up by Danny Schwandt, who started mowing lawns at just 13 years old in the Viewmont area of Hickory. What began as a small side job quickly grew into a passion for landscaping. At 16, he officially launched Danny’s Lawn Service, balancing his growing client base with earning a degree in business management and accounting from Lenoir-Rhyne University.

With years of hands-on experience and a focus on quality, Danny expanded his landscaping company into Southern Lawnscapes, offering a full range of professional landscaping and hardscaping services. Today, our team continues to grow, providing expert solutions for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
